	Announcing Sandy Springs Lodge #124 Scholarship Award

	We are proud to present our Masonic community with the announcement of a scholarship competition for 2010. Notice of this scholarship is being sent to Lodges within the 5th Masonic District, but other Lodges may copy and post this information. The scholarship will be in the amount of $1,000. The competition is open to any high-school senior who has been accepted for entrance to a senior college—either in state or out-of state. Requirements include: Grade point average of 3.8 or better Participation in several aspects of school activities Involvement in community volunteer work Recommendation of faculty member Brief letter explaining desired degree and career goals Applicant does not need to have Masonic connection, although it would be desirable. Preference will be given to a competitor who desires to enter fields of teaching, engineering and science or other services to the community, state, or nation.
